中共中央总书记、国度主席、中央军委主席习近平9月5日给举国50多所涉农高校的书记校长和专家代表复书，对涉农高校办学朝向提出要求，渴望他们立德树人，强农兴农。President Xi Jinping has encouraged agricultural colleges to strengthen moral education and talent cultivation to promote the country’s agricultural development. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks when replying to a letter from Party secretaries, presidents and experts of over 50 agricultural colleges on Thursday.

食为政首，农为邦本。“三农”的战略位置是由我国经济社会提高实践情况决定的。比年来，我国农业古代化稳步推进，主要农产物需求富裕，农夫收入持续增长，这好坏常了不得的成果。但也要看到，我国农业基本仍旧单薄，乡村提高仍旧滞后，农夫收入仍旧不高。在新的汗青条件下，农业在百姓经济中的基本位置没有变，农夫是最值得关心的最大群体的实际没有变，乡村是全盘建成小康社会的短板没有变。做好“三农”事情，关乎城镇化战略顺遂推进，关乎内需的好效拉动，关乎全盘小康社会可否准期建成。习近平总书记高度器重农业乡村农夫事情，对做好“三农”事情提出了很多新头脑、新理念、新结论。在习近平总书记“三农”紧张叙述中，“三个必需”“三个不克不及”“三个坚定不移”最为体系和光显，居于总括性总要求的位置。在2013年中央乡村事情聚会会议上，习近平总书记提出：中国要强，农业必需强；中国要美，乡村必需美；中国要富，农夫必需富。2015年7月，习近平总书记在吉林调研时指出：任何时分都不克不及无视农业、不克不及忘记农夫、不克不及冷淡乡村。2016年4月，习近平总书记在安徽凤阳县小岗村召开的乡村变革座谈会上重申：要坚定不移深化乡村变革，坚定不移增速乡村提高，坚定不移维护乡村和谐安定。

Agricultural colleges should further strengthen moral education and talent cultivation, assume the responsibility of boosting agricultural prosperity, and bring out more scientific and technological achievements to help promote agricultural and rural modernization, ensure food security, raise farmers’ living standards, and contribute to poverty reduction and rural revitalization.
